Limerick

There was a big fuzzball of stress
With an insane wicked grin, none-the-less.
I asked it to tea,
Kicked it hard in the knee,
And immensely enjoyed it, I confess.

[to my fellow stress addicts, continue to kick it's a$$.  It's an amazing mental image and helps melt the tenseness away.]

Organic

Take a bite
And cry
Because it tastes like it used to.
You weren't dreaming
Or getting too old
To remember after all.

Thoughts while looking at a painting 300 years old

I have never been alone.
I realize that now.
All the while
the women of my past
have been looking over my shoulder
watching as life goes
just like it did
the generations before.
And I also think
one day
I'll be doing the same
with the daughters
of my granddaughters.
