There we go! Just imagine the socks a little more purple-y and the hat a little clearer. The hat fit Hubby's friend (yay!) and the socks are worn all the time so I think they are both a success.Tonight Hubby and I are the first act of a play ("Additional Particulars") so wish us to break a leg!

I love the hat! You were worried? I finished the stripedy socks like I told you, and I have picked up the scarf I had started with all of this alpaca I have accumulated. The cat won't leave me alone, but that is just as well considering his upcoming operation. Pretty soon he might start choosing my colors for me and offering opinions on the fibers. (Did I mention to you that my classes found out that my cat is having a sex change? It's great. My dog has a tat and my cat is experimenting in alternate lifestyles.)

You never cease to make me laugh! Are the sockies toasty warm? Em loved the hat, I loved that it fit, and you know how funny that would be if I had made one on the theme of your yamakas (sp?) with how big my knit stitches are.
I can't wait to see (and feel) your scarf if the cat hasn't eloped with it. Alpaca is quickly becoming one of my favorites I'm not sure I could ever afford to start because I don't think I could stop! If I ever start I'll definitely ask the cat's opinion. Good thing he's black and white so he'll match anything he wants!
The sock book is awesome, I agree. Definitely a worthy purchase.
